I took my vehicle in for tie rod ends and a front end alignment due to replacing struts, control arms and ball joints by another shop that does not provide an alignment. Admiral replaced the tie rod ends and told me the jam nuts are seized to adjust the alignment and my vehicle needed a new steering rack to perform an alignment. A steering rack for my vehicle costs $309 at the local AutoZone and would require at least a couple hours of labor. So I declined the additional work. They gave me the invoice and replaced the tie rod ends ok - no problem. However, the invoice included $45 for 1/2 the front end alignment they said couldn't be done and they did not perform. I questioned this and the $45 is for "buying rack time". Admiral charged me $45 for 1/2 an alignment they didn't perform. To make matters worse, I took my vehicle to a reputable shop on 313 in Greensboro the next day for an alignment. I expected a mechanic to inform me about seized jam nuts and 45 minutes or so went by and they told me my vehicle/alignment is done. I asked if they had any problems and they said no. So, if you want to pay for additional work that is apparently not need or necessary, take your vehicle to Admiral on 404 in Denton. If you want to pay for only repairs you request or repairs you only want done, take your vehicle somewhere else. Up selling and selling additional services is one thing, lying to a customer to perform work that is not needed is called theft and those who do this are called thieves. It's sad greed has apparently caused this behavior.

They were quick to find the problem. Not happy about the cost but if they have me up and running in 24 hours that will be good.
